This month we’ll see the 1964 Koreyoshi Kurahara classic Black Sun.
David Blakeslee describes the film’s “shamelessly uninhibited scenery-gnawing from the actors and the trademark swoops and swirls of Koreyoshi Kurahara’s dive-bombing camera work.” For story, a young jazz-loving Japanese man and a black American G.I. become outlaws and friends. (95 minutes)
